Polres Ciamis together with various agencies and community conducted river normalization of Cibuyut in Jelat Village to commemorate the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction under the theme "Gotong Royong Sungai Cibuyut". The event commenced with HIV/AIDS counseling and health checks by the AIDS Eradication Commission and Puskesmas Ciamis, followed by communal cleanup and river normalization activities, and concluded with the release of tilapia seeds to support aquatic ecosystems. Kapolres Ciamis and Kapolsek highlighted that such cooperation strengthens disaster mitigation efforts by ensuring unobstructed water flow, reducing sedimentation risks, and fostering community awareness on environmental preservation.
